The self-proclaimed ‘World Center of Racing’, Daytona has been a fixture at the heart of the stock racing calendar since the advent of NASCAR, emerging from Bill France’s dream to build something more permanent to replace the hard sands of Daytona Beach to become a multi-use oval and road course catering for more than 100,000 fans.
Host to the most important season-openers in stock car, sports car and bike racing, the course is one of the most recognisable in world sports. Befitting this status, it has benefited from dramatic improvements to spectator amenities through the Daytona Rising project in recent years to make it one of the best motorsports venues anywhere in the world.
